In July of 2018, West co-created Pornhub Nation, a futuristic, interactive art installation in Los Angeles. The exhibit asks “what if a country was governed by the world’s largest pornography website?”
The 3,000 square-foot, 6 room installation was set in the year 2069 and features satirical depictions of government branches and bureaucratic organizations, such as the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Motor Vehicles, and NASA. Popular porn stars were photographed as Presidents, futuristic sports stars, dominatrix DMV agents, pharmaceutical technicians and a host of other original characters created for this new world.
In addition to photographing and art directing all of the photographic content within the exhibit, West worked with a team of contractors to design and execute each room within the installation.
Over the two months the installation was open, Pornhub Nation had thousands of visitors and multiple large events.
