In 2017, West was commissioned to create a physical installation within The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood to be exhibited alongside prints of her Flora photo series.
The box installation featured a diverse cast of live models (men and women) throughout the two month exhibit. The installation included both real and artificial plants as well as an elaborate color LED lighting set up.
Every few minutes, the colors in the box would shift casting a different light on each plant. In addition to the changing colors, rotating lights were installed behind the plants and covered with a blue/ green gels - giving the impression that both the plants and models were in a surreal, underwater environment.
